Join Share Somewhere

Share Somewhere is a game-changing tool for communities who need spaces. It is an online database of venues – think AirBnB for communities - which aims to liberate underused spaces, making it easy for people to find them & use them for great activities.

It's easy-to-use & open to all. As well as connecting people who need spaces to the right venues, Share Somewhere also allows community groups to advertise their empty spaces, manage bookings, take payments online, & enjoy the fact their space is being well used.

Share Somewhere is managed by the leading digital support charity for young people, The Mix.

Benefits to you

  • Training before starting from those who have done the role before
  • Support ongoing
  • Quality & varied work experience
  • Development of key employability skills
  • Support to prepare for future interviews
  • A range of Youth Voice opportunities with The Mix

Become a Community Ambassador

We are looking for young people aged 16-24 who currently receive Universal Credit, to take on some new jobs with Share Somewhere. The job is to help us research venue listings for the platform in your local area.

We want to find out all about spaces at a local level - green spaces; youth work venues; community spaces; charity spaces; music venues; business spaces, to build a picture of the spaces that are available, & that could be hired through Share Somewhere.

This Community Ambassador job is about encouraging those spaces that are available to get listed on the Share Somewhere website, either by showing spaces how to do it themselves, or by doing it for them.

Promote Share Somewhere locally, get people with spaces to sign up to it. Simple!

As a bonus part of this role, you will dedicate 2 hours a week to getting involved with Youth Voice opportunities with The Mix. These are conversations that give young people a voice on the issues that matter to them.
