Lambeth Town Hall, a Grade II listed building designed by the well-known architects Septimus Warwick and Austen Hall, was opened on 29 April 1908 by the then Prince and Princess of Wales, subsequently King George V and Queen Mary and is a fine example of the Edwardian Baroque style of civic architecture. Thirty years later, Austen Hall also designed the adjoining Lambeth Assembly Hall which was opened by Queen Mary in 1938.
